This is a bad school. Wharton, the closest next school is worse. The teachers are mostly former students, most of which dont have a teaching degree, if you have family there (EVERYONE IS RELATED) you can be hired as a substitute, then a fully blown teacher. The entire tri-county area mostly consist of redneck, low lifes who persecute anyone who doesn't blend into their Neo Nazi christian society. The books are outdated, the football program, like all football programs in the south, has more funding than the education. The teachers ignore bullying, and even sometimes join in. The immediate neighborhood surrounding the school is nothing but squalor. Most of the students get pregnant during high school. Cocaine, Alcohol, and Marijuana run rampant throughout the community. When I went to school there, the former assistant principal and a teacher were caught multiple times messing around on campus. The assistan principal, who is the principal of the junior high school would leer and make inappropriate comments to the pretty and popular student body. No files were charged. It's a very stepford wife town... it looks nice, but then you live there, and you see the nitty gritty truth. Once you're here, it's nigh impossible for most residents to ever leave. STAY FAR AWAY!
